Asst. Prof. Nazan Çağlar Director of Istanbul Kültür University Family Businesses and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER), and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Ali Şen, visited Tekin Urhan, Chairperson of the Board of the Turkish Family Business Association (TAIDER).

During the visit, which was held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, the issues of updating the previously signed protocol between Istanbul Kültür University and TAIDER were discussed, as well as existing collaborations.

In line with our mission (to provide a qualified education that nurtures the talents that will shape the future and to increase scientific, artistic and cultural activities) and vision (to be a university with national and international reputation in teaching, scientific research and community service) in the Strategic Plan of Istanbul Kültür University, the "Innovation Group" was formed in October with the voluntary participation of our academic and administrative staff.

Istanbul Kültür University Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center opened the new season with the play Plastik Aşklar, staged by Oya Başar and Ebru Kural, on 2 November at 19.00. In the play, where master theater actors Oya Başar and Ebru Kural shared the stage, theatergoers had a night of laughter. Başar and Kural were presented with flowers for their successful performance at the end of the game and the pleasant night they gave to the people of Kültür.

Awarded the title of "Honorary Doctorate" by Istanbul Kültür University on March 9, 2011; Architect, Restorer & Historian Professor Doğan Kuban, who passed away on September 22, 2021, was commemorated with a ceremony organized by IKU Faculty of Architecture. On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 15.00, the commemoration ceremony was held at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall with the title of "Understanding Doğan Kuban"; Prof. Dr. Zeynep Ahunbay, Prof. Dr. Zafer Ertürk and Dr. Doğan Hasol attended. The moderator of the ceremony was Prof. Dr. Zeynep Kuban .

The 98th anniversary of the proclamation of the republic, which placed ‘’Sovereignty rests unconditionally with the nation’’ rule in the state administration and crowned democracy in Turkey, was celebrated with events held at Istanbul Kültür University.

The program started with the singing of the National Anthem and the laying of a wreath at the Atatürk Monument on Thursday, October 28 at 10:00, taking into account the social distance rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organized for the eighth time by the Istanbul Kültür University Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, the "Mekan2021 / Interior Architecture Students National Graduation Projects Competition" aims to present themselves and their design philosophies to young interior architect candidates through graduation / diploma projects that are the threshold between the education process and transition to professional formation. It is an open call in terms of promotion.

Within the scope of return measures to our campuses after COVID-19; The lecture halls, classrooms, laboratories, conference halls, places of worship, study rooms and service vehicles in all our campuses were disinfected by the Support Services Department on Saturday, October 23, 2021 with the ULV System.

U.L.V. (Ultra Low Volume) System;

Istanbul Kültür University Art Gallery (IKUSAG) opened the 2021-2022 art season on Wednesday, October 13 at 15.00 with the art exhibition titled "Face to Face" by Painter Sema Barlas.

Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sinan Alçın, Curator Özer Ulukaya and IKÜSAG Director Assoc. Prof. Reyhan Uludağ Eraslan made the opening speeches of the exhibition. As this is the first exhibition of the season, the event, where everyone came together with excitement, underlined the healing and unifying power of art, especially during the pandemic period. 

By the Department of Support Services, on Saturday, October 02, 2021, at Ataköy campus ZA-01 amphitheater with the participation of the cleaning personnel working in all campuses; general evaluation training was held on “Teamwork and Communication Skills”, “Personal Care and Hygiene”, “COVID-19 Pandemic”, “Cleaning and Disinfection Practices”.

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Publishing House continues to bring selections from Oxford University Press's world-famous series "A Very Short Introductions" into Turkish. The number of books published in Turkish from the series reached 16 with "French Revolution", "Ancient Warfare", "Modern Art" and "Hegel" from the "A Very Short Introductions" series, which offers introductory information to students, educators and enthusiasts.
